I scored this drab brown crate for $2.95 at the thrift store this past week and I couldn't wait to get started on fixing the drab into something really enjoyable. I decided I wanted to start by spray painting it a color that would brighten any room, and in my mind it's this baby bluish color. From there I threw ideas back and forth with my lovebug as to what the crate's purpose should be. The color reminded me of fresh life, and so it came to me! An herb garden: growing new life and adding a zing to my cooking. My lovebug and I built the middle console out of scrap wood pieces, and so this herb garden was born. The ball jars fit perfectly inside creating a centerpiece or counter top addition that serves a purpose. I can't wait to have everyone in on this journey of seeds to delightful herbs:)
