My Bullet Journal

Moving into a new Bullet Journal

8/25/2017

After a crazy busy month I am ready to get back to doing what I love! My summer classes have finally come to an end and the fall semester is about to begin. A new semester means it's time to start a new Bullet Journal. Moving into a new Bullet Journal seems like an overwhelming task at first mostly because my Bullet Journal never leaves my side. Then, all of a sudden it runs out of pages on me. If moving into a new Bullet Journal seems like a daunting task-read on to see how I moved into my new Bullet Journal.

How to Guide in starting a bullet journal

Are you nervous to start a bullet journal, or have no idea where to start?

Your worries are over!! Today I have an awesome and simple guide in starting your first Bullet Journal!
Picture
First of all what is a Bullet Journal?? If you are unfamiliar with the system it is a organizational system that encompasses a diary, planner, to do list, etc. Basically all of those random pieces of paper that you have disarrayed about your desk or work space will now be written in your Bullet Journal. Does having a clean desk sound good to you? I know that's one reason why the system intrigued me so much. The system is designed to be adaptable to any lifestyle and help you keep track of everything that you have to do, have planned to do, or want to do in a certain time period.  Does having an organized life sound good? If you answered yes to that question then you're in the right place:)

I hope everyone had a lovely June, and are excited to get July off to a great start! If you haven't seen my Plan With Me July video definitely go and head over to my youtube channel and check it out!

Anyway I wanted to share my monthly spread for July a little bit more up close and personal. I'm continuing to use this simple spread that Bullet Journal creator, Ryder Carroll, uses in his Bullet Journal. It's been very convenient to rapidly plan the month and continue to keep up with it throughout the month as a whole. I used the orange and blue from my bright pack of Tombow brush pens, and my Tombow calligraphy pen. As you can see I also mark the page with matching Washi Tape in order to quickly find the monthly spread with ease.

Thanks to the Plan With Me Challenge this beautiful quote page was created. I used my off brand tombow pastel brush pens and tombow fudenosuke brush pens. I love the mixture of the pastel strokes in the tiny flowers with the bold black writing. It is a great addition to my Bullet Journal and a great quote to keep motivated on these hot days.

With my new pastel brush markers I was able to make this cute weekly spread. It works well having one side for the to do's and one for the schedule side. I know where I must be at certain times and then I schedule my tasks accordingly. I highly recommend this format. It takes up only one page and is easy for task migrating.

Bullet Journaling can be adapted to any lifestyle, and that's the main reason why I love it so much. You can put in as much or as little time with it as you please. I'd say I'm somewhere in the middle especially because I have seen some users of the system with pages full of water color, and super artistic aspects. For me, the process of planning out your days and productivity should be enjoyable, and that is what the Bullet Journal system has brought to my life. Stress is easy to come by and since the system lowers those levels it's safe to say I'm going to be utilizing the system for a long long time.

Don't compare your Bullet Journal to others! Those super artistic people are going to piss you off, it's inevitable, but don't downgrade your own because of it. The whole purpose of the Bullet Journal is to increase productivity throughout your days, but that is not going to happen if you're trying to emulate other's journal pages. Enjoy your planning days and enjoy a life of productivity:)

Here's next week's spread all ready to be planned! (I know it's weird that my weeks start on Monday it just happened lol). This is why the title of this post is "On top of my game" because I actually did the weekly spread before the week started!

It's kind of ironic that these two spreads are completely next to one another, but it's fine. I wanted a spread to jot down everything I have a want for, but also for everything I spend money on. This way you know exactly where your money is going, and where you want it to go.
